This title was originally a sermon I was invited to preach at a church in Goldsboro, about 7 or 8 years ago.

But, once again, I was thwarted.

That’s okay.

It’s still tucked inside and ready anytime.

The world is wary of a non- degreed  preacher.

That’s okay, too. I get it.

I didn’t set out to become a preacher or speaker. Just a quiet little writer who could pay her bills.

But my own desire to seek the things of God landed me in some kind of seminary! Like a personal, often hidden, classroom.

A classroom where one is encouraged to hammer out a belief system. To  consider principles and truths. To often fearfully try to apply them in the world.

In 1999, I made up my mind to seek higher things. What people call God. And I wanted to use my writing skills to inspire in some way.

So I spent a lot of time in * God’s Seminary.”

But I don’t think it is accredited by the state of North Carolina.

That’s okay.

They may catch up at some point.
