It’s a Solar Thing

Been thinking about what to plant this year. The soil looks really good. I know some sunflowers will come up, but I’d like to try jalapeno peppers.

I slice and dice peppers for many dishes. Or, sometimes, just for fun. A sharp knife, a solid cutting board, and a kitchen radio can get you going.

I used to practice sermons in the kitchen. One day a neighbor repeated my exact words back to me. Freaked me out a little. It was not a neighbor in close proximity.

I’ve stored up a lot of sermons. Inside.

I know from the outside it often looks like nothing is happening.

Kinda like solar lights. All day the solar lights absorb natural sunlight. We cannot see the process, but something is happening.

The sun sets and the solar lights showcase sunflowers, pumpkins, tomato vines, or whatever is blooming.

There’s always a place for solar lights in my world.
