“George Washington said that ‘ the due administration of justice is the firmest pillar of good Government,’” (Equal Justice Under Law, 1965, p. 5).

One universal “assurance” folks love to repeat is You are not alone.

That just ain’t true in many circumstances in life.

If you find yourself outnumbered by unreasonable people, and no one can be found to discuss a solution, you are indeed alone ( in that situation).

For instance, I have lots of compassion for those in the throes of addiction to cigarettes, alcohol, and other stuff.

But when people in charge mislead others by false advertising, and they refuse to consider solutions, they create an often volatile environment. Which is no good for children, and also adults who cannot immediately change their situation.

Unless the ruling has changed recently, the Supreme Court ruled marijuana is not to be allowed in Public Housing, even for medicinal purposes.

This is a good rule, because I know from experience that the smoke travels through the walls, even filling a nearby apartment’s rooms.

If those in charge believe it’s an unfair rule, then why not have those smoking for medicinal purposes in designated smoke areas?

Why keep the community frustrated about this?

Why force people to endure second-hand smoke in their own home?

I’m not on a crusade against the whole marijuana industry, but what grown, intelligent person could not see the unreasonableness of this?

To not even be open to discussion is, in my opinion, unAmerican; don’t we defend civil rights for everyone ?

When a small apartment, in a designated smoke free area, with little ventilation, cannot even be a person’s place of refuge–

When one must breathe in others’ products–repeatedly–even when they are ill & in their own bedrooms–

How is this a government that cares for its children? The future?

Again, I appeal to reason and common sense.

And sometimes, you are definitely alone.
