Unsolved Mysteries

In my mind, it is still July 17, 2010.

I really don’t care for unsolved mysteries.

Not the television show, but the omission of facts about a traumatic experience that I cannot fully remember.

If there is any person out there with information about Wildacres Retreat, Little Switzerland, NC, that could possibly help me find the missing pieces I would gladly offer a reward if I could.

Problem is, I’ve had difficulty in every area of life since then, including PTSD.

I arrived at Wildacres for a writing conference I saw publicized in Poets & Writers Magazine.

I arrived as a normal person, a life-long writer with a love for the NC mountains.

I returned a total wreck.

Out of my mind.

Terrified.

Almost sixteen years later, I am still struggling because of that week.
