Wow! A lovely snowfall greets us this early Wednesday morning. We in southeastern North Carolina get excited about snow. What parent doesn’t smile at their little children’s awe!
On my home page I assert that my particular ministry is built on an understanding of the love of God, and the law of God.
What do I mean by that?
In my walk on the ancient paths of all those that seek God, or a Great Spirit, or something that says we possess a soul and it matters, I developed a religious perspective that makes sense to me.
It is a “marriage” of John 10:10 & Amos 7:7-8.
The Good Shepherd and the Plumbline.
They are beautiful illustrations of a God who cares for the creatures under his care by both good shepherding and by setting reasonable boundaries.
Both of these fit nicely under a universal umbrella of King David’s last words to his son Solomon that:
“He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in a fear of God.”
I claim my studies of the Holy Bibles given to me throughout my life. I grappled with them respectfully, honestly, and passionately.
I simply placed other verses front and center in my life, as opposed to John 3:16.
K.S.Evans Ministries asks:
Why did Jesus Christ of Nazareth die?
Because Pontius Pilate sentenced him to death. Pilate was an unjust man.
Love and Law builds up. It does not destroy what is good and claim that frees the evil acts of men.
We’re a culture that’s all about following your passions and making yourself happy.
My perspective makes me feel happy. And I find it pleasing to both heart and mind.
Now go play in the snow!
…Thus saith the Lord.
